Our Story
My wedding day in 1997—a cherished memory captured at the altar, surrounded by all seven of my flower girls. I have always been captivated by the timeless tradition of being a flower girl. The moment the flower girl makes her way down the aisle stands as a moving reminder of the swift passage of time and how rapidly our little girls grow up, eventually becoming brides themselves.
In the last 25 years my groom, three kids, four bullmastiffs (one of whom was named Bonbon and the other Beignet!) and I have lived across the globe; from Africa to the Middle East, to Europe, with Paris holding a special place in my heart. It was amidst the enchanting streets and parks of Paris while pushing my babies in a double stroller, dog in tow, that the sensibilities and settings for my children’s book took shape. What better backdrop is there for celebrating the story of a beautiful bride-to-be and her flower girl? Thus, “Be My Flower Girl?” came to life, alongside the Bonbon & Beignets brand!
One of my chief passions has been helping children and women overcome poverty and a lack of opportunity around the world and domestically. Today, we’re still committed to that mission, doing our part to provide the most vulnerable amongst us with hope and a future. To further these goals, we have partnered with an amazing organization, Convoy of Hope, and donate 10% of every bunny box sold.
Life is defined by moments. I hope you enjoy this little treasure. It transcends a mere gift for your flower girl; it is a heartfelt tribute to the joys of girlhood, the magic of marriage, and the enduring significance of passing down cherished traditions from generation to generation.
Everyday is special, but your wedding day should be filled with Bonbons & Beignets!
